Default D3 4.2 tdi injectors

Hi all.

Has any suffered injector issues/failure on a 4.2 tdi (bvn) engine at all?

I've performed a search on the forum and found nothing! I was led to believe there were bad 'batches' around the 2005/6 era.

Although my injectors haven't been removed for bench testing yet, I'm considering how much I want to spend on my A8. I've been told that because they're piezo type they are not refurbishable.

Which has got me looking at D4s......

I think you can broaden your search to lump 3.0 and 4.2 injector issues together. They use injectors from the same range - they are interchangeable even though not recommended or beneficial - but shows there is little or no difference.

I thought the 4.2 injectors were an upgrade for the 3.0?
