I checked on my iPhone about how much the insurance will be, and it was £950

yep..... £1050 when learning and went up to £3600 for my 17 year old when he passed his test last year

just renewed it last month with one years NCD for TPF&T its "only" £2100 this year

thats for a 1.2 Punto

TBH, I'd look at something in the group 3-4 category for insurance to keep it down for at least the first year.
