Gearbox advice
Please could anyone advise on this description? It's an a6 allroad 3.0td quattro 2008 so I'm assuming it's got the same box as an a8 d3.
THERE IS A TRANSMISSION FAULT AND THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT ON, THE CAR NEEDS TO BE WARM BEFORE SELECTING GEARS BUT OTHERSWISE DRIVES GREAT. I'm thinking of taking a gamble on it as it's going cheap. Hopefully it could be engine cold running issue, a sensor or fluid change needed. I dont have any scans until I go to see the car. Am I right in thinking most gearbox issues are when warm not cold? Thanks Simon
