Definitely the correct vin as on V5 log book. Car was originally registered in Ireland so not sure if that might be the issue?

The following site indicates that it's a valid VIN number:

although you have to 'buy' the important information. I've used the site linked to by Homer as it was the only one I could get to work, but it now appears to only provide information on VIN numbers that had previously been searched.

Not a lot to report really....

3.0 Tdi, Built 12/03/2014

Moonlight Blue, Pearl effect

'Velvet Beige' Interior

With Keyless entry, Bose, power closing boot, 360 degree cameras and Matrix LED headlights, some of which may well have been standard by 2014 (I haven't updated my DB for such recent cars!)

MOT due today, but I'm hoping you know that already.... ;-)

Bogg standard then!

Joe2.0E 6th November 2019 08:06 PM

Other than Bose, pretty much a standard car for 2014.
Most Irish registered A8ís are Dealer demos with pretty ordinary spec and end up being sold on at a few months old for Ä20k off the list price.
